Signal Booster Solution for Harties FM Radio
Harties FM Radio, an exciting new digital radio station established in 2022. The launch of this digital radio station was a huge success, and they have quickly become a fan favourite among the locals in the area. Harties FM Radio can be downloaded on Apple or Android devices and streamed anywhere in the world in the comfort of your home or office.
Harties FM secured a broadcasting space in the heart of Hartebeespoort, setting up their studio in the charming Chameleon Village, a family destination with dining, outdoor activities, a water splash park, live entertainment, bars, outdoor play areas and more.
The new studio allowed the team to broadcast from the hustle and bustle of Hartebeespoort, however the area suffers from very poor cellular signal on both voice and data services. It was critical for them to have strong data signal in the studio, as they rely on LTE services to broadcast their digital radio.
Our signal expert on the project conducted a thorough survey at the new studio and determined that signal was poor on both MTN and Vodacom, the two predominant networks used by them.
A solution was designed using two Arrow LPDA antennas, pointing to different towers, increasing signal availability to the amplifier. A WilsonPro A1000 cell phone signal booster was installed, with a 3-way splitter, distributing the signal in the 3 different studio areas.
The average increase in signal was 43dBm - a truly significant increase in signal strength! From poor signal and slow data speeds to strong cellular signal with stable data connection.
Now that Harties FM has a strong, reliable cellular connection, they can broadcast their digital radio with confidence.
|Cell Signal Strength||Before||After|
|Data Speeds||10.9Mbs Download and 14.8Mbs Upload||14.6Mbs Download and 15.1Mbs Upload|
